Administrative Assistant

(Hours: 7:30 am to 4 pm, Mon-Fri)

We currently are looking for a dynamic candidate for our Administrative Assistant role. The outgoing, positive spirited candidate will have at least 1 year of administrative assistant experience.  Along with earning a certification from college or technical school is preferred.

SUMMARY

Primary functions of this position will include a answering a multi-line telephone system and directing incoming calls to proper extensions/voicemails.  Provide administrative assistant to all departments, including ownership and managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Answer telephone and greet visitors.
  • Pick up, sort and distribute mail.
  • Meeting preparation and planning.
  • Perform administrative support work specific to each department
  • Use computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases and scheduling.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Work/Excel to create documents and spreadsheets.
  • The ability to efficiently multi-task and must be detail orientated.
  • Other various office duties.

Order Analyst

Order Analyst

Administrative Department

Work Hours:  7 am to 3:30 pm (Mon-Fri) 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enter customer purchase order in ERP system.
  • Acknowledge & verify customer requested delivery date.
  • Investigate & resolve any invoicing payment issues.
  • Develop & maintain customer relationships.
  • Report for accuracy of on time delivery.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between quotes & customers’ purchase order.
  • Follow through on customer generated action items such as Proof of Delivery, Tracking Info, Etc.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment report.
  • Experience with EPICOR ERP system a plus.
  • Experience with EDI a plus.
  • This position starts as an Order Analyst and will be trained to grow into an Inside Sales/Customer Service position.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have attention to detail, good organization skills
  • Must be self-motivated, take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Good computer skills

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP system is a plus

Maintenance Technician

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To follow all plant safety rules and NFPA 70E Standard.
  • Understand 480V 3 Phase Operation and able to run diagnostic testing.
  • Clean, lubricate, inspect and test machinery & equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair machines by listening for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction. Discuss machine operation variations with supervisor when necessary.
  • Check vacuum pumps & air compressors that are running.
  • Check ventilation system in plant for negative air flow.
  • Install new parts into defective machines.
  • Check machines for electrical connection repairs as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance work orders that come up on a day-to-day basis.
  • Performing inspections on band saws, fire extinguishers, fire pump, roof top exhaust units, and bench grinders for guard tolerance & perform test on wheels.
  • Able to work overtime and be on-call (rotating schedule)
  • Basic tool set ( i.e., screwdriver set, combination wrench set, hammers, pliers, digital multi meter, hex key wrenches, ½ drive and 3/8 drive socket and ratchet sets, punch and chisel set).

Qualifications

  • Must have attention to detail, good organization skills
  • Must be self-motivated, take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable in a Manufacturing Environment

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree or equivalent, or two years’ similar experience.

Metal Fabricator

Accurately fabricate various items used in customer products and in-house to assist in production, storage and shipping of goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Measures, marks and scribes layouts using basic measuring tools (tape measure, caliper and micrometer)
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses and grinder
  • Strong quality focus with great attention to detail
  • Accurately and safely use hand tools (drills, saws, cutoff wheel)
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Forklift operation
  • Keep legible and organized records/documentation and inspection records

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and typing.

Forming Operator

Allied Plastics, currently has several positions for all 3 of our shifts for an experienced Forming Operator.  This position requires the following skills:

  • Ability to Read, Understand and Perform the duties on the Production Job Traveler to produce part for that particular job.
  • Able to load forming machines and start production cycle.
  • Able to identify defective product in forming process and follow QC procedure for Non-Conforming Parts.
  • Perform all quality inspections from SPC Sheets with accuracy.
  • Perform hand router tool change and adjustments to tool guide.
  • Obtain a toolbox and basic hand tools.

Education requirements: high school diploma or GED and one to three months related experience or training.

Production Finisher 1st and 2nd Shifts

1st Shift

SUMMARY

Employee will perform duties with the assistance of an experienced operator or technician. If so driven, a Production Finisher will train to become a Machine Operator in CNC, Robot, Thermoforming or Secondary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load/unload CNC, Robot and/or Forming Machines during production cycle.
  • Knowledge regarding basic hand tools and ability to use them.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Properly operate band saw to cut up plastic scrap.
  • Understand all safety devices on machinery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.

CNC Operator

SUMMARY

Operates CNC machine in order to trim plastic parts within specifications. Hand work, assemble and package parts. MUST comply with all safety rules and understand routes of exit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Operates CNC machine.
    • Performs all necessary quality checks to insure parts are to specifications.
    • Performs Secondary operation set up according to Work Instructions.
    • Assemble products to quality standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work center per 5S standards; (Straighten Up, Sort, Sweep, Standardize, and Sustain).
    • Inspect part to Quality criteria and pre-approve first part approval.
    • Able to identify defective product in the forming process and follow QC procedure for Non-Conforming parts.
    • Communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisor.
    • Able to direct temporary workers in their job functions.
    • Obtain a toolbox and basic hand tools.
    • Able to read basic measuring devices and prints.
    • Able to successfully navigate Allied ERP and Web time programs.
    • Able to manually move X, Y, Z, B, C and A axis while in Jog Mode.
    • Correctly fills out counts on back of traveler and correctly enter counts into Epicor.
    • Correctly fills out Finished Goods, Work in Progress and Inventory tags.
    • Maintains information on vision boards.

CNC Technician

SUMMARY

Sets up and operates CNC machine in order to trim plastic parts within specifications. Hand work, assemble and package parts. Leads subordinate CNC Operators.

Responsibilities and Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Able to make adjustments to existing additive origins.
  • Able to setup and get First Piece on all CNC Machines.
  • Able to train CNC Operators.
  • Able to collect and sign off on counts throughout CNC department.
  • Suggests changes to improve department flow and efficiencies.
  • Observes all CNC operations.
  • Assists and trains CNC operators in setups when appropriate.
  • Verifies that all paperwork is properly and accurately completed.
  • Has basic knowledge of Troubleshooting principles.
  • Complies with all safety policies and ensures compliance among subordinate CNC Operators.
  • Able to read and understand standard prints as well as GD&T prints

Qualifications and Skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUMMARY

Employee will perform duties of Robot Helper on production floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take instruction from Robot Operator.
  • Performs all necessary quality checks to insure parts are to specifications.
  • Able to read and understand work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work center.
  • Properly operate band saw to cut up plastic scrap.
  • Understand all safety devices on machinery.
  • Move Product from one area to another safely and in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail a must!
  • Be willing to perform other duties outside your normal work functions as directed by management.

  • Able to lift 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.

    • Weigh each container of regrind with tare weight
    • Maintain accurate regrind log
    • Clock into MES System for Job Tracking, enter weight in lbs. & regrind tag numbers
    • Perform clean outs with extreme accuracy on shredder
    • Operate Forklift and Pallet Jack to convey or move product
    • Keep area clean from excess debris
    • Must keep colors and materials separate from contamination
    • Must recognize differences in different plastics
