Administrative Assistant

We currently are looking for a dynamic candidate for our Administrative Assistant role. The outgoing, positive spirited candidate will have at least 1 year of administrative assistant experience.  Along with earning a certification from college or technical school is preferred.

SUMMARY

Primary functions of this position will include answering a multi-line telephone system and directing incoming calls to proper extensions/voicemails.  Provide administrative assistant to all departments, including ownership and managers.

Order Analyst

Administrative Department

Work Hours: 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enter customer purchase order in ERP system.
  • Acknowledge & verify customer requested delivery date.
  • Investigate & resolve any invoicing payment issues.
  • Develop & maintain customer relationships.
  • Report for accuracy of on time delivery.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between quotes & customers’ purchase order.
  • Follow through on customer generated action items such as Proof of Delivery, Tracking Info, Etc.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment report.
  • Experience with EPICOR ERP system a plus.

  • This position starts as an Order Analyst and will be trained to grow into an Inside Sales/Customer Service position.

Inventory Management Specialist

Manages inventories through ERP system, oversees physical inventories and cycle counting, and troubleshoots discrepancies working closely with personnel throughout the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Utilize Epicor ERP system to manage inventories
  • Oversee physical inventories
  • Establish inventory controls, policies, and procedures to minimize inventory shortages and discrepancies
  • Ensures compliance with established inventory controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with accounting, manufacturing and quality personnel
  • Schedule items for cycle counting using Epicor ERP system
  • Conduct cycle count inventory process ensuring accuracy and timely execution
  • Maintain and evaluate inventory records on a regular ongoing basis
  • Make inventory quantity adjustments in Epicor ERP system as required
  • Prepare inventory reports for management providing insight into areas of concern and discrepancies
  • Creates and maintains inventory storage locations in Epicor ERP system in conjunction with the physical locations managed by the Logistics Manager.
  • Perform month-end WIP process in Epicor ERP system.
  • Month-end review, verification, and update of all inventories
  • Generates, verifies and forwards month-end close inventory reporting to Accounting Manager

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in related field with 2 years of material management experience. Ability to accurately count and recognize parts. Must have proficient computer knowledge using windows based programs and Microsoft Excel and Word.

Maintenance Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To follow all plant safety rules and NFPA 70E Standard.
  • Understand 480V 3 Phase Operation and able to run diagnostic testing.
  • Clean, lubricate, inspect and test machinery & equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair machines by listening for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction. Discuss machine operation variations with supervisor when necessary.
  • Check vacuum pumps & air compressors that are running.
  • Check ventilation system in plant for negative air flow.
  • Install new parts into defective machines.
  • Check machines for electrical connection repairs as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance work orders that come up on a day-to-day basis.
  • Performing inspections on band saws, fire extinguishers, fire pump, roof top exhaust units, and bench grinders for guard tolerance & perform test on wheels.
  • Able to work overtime and be on-call (rotating schedule)
  • Basic tool set ( i.e., screwdriver set, combination wrench set, hammers, pliers, digital multi meter, hex key wrenches, ½ drive and 3/8 drive socket and ratchet sets, punch and chisel set).

Maintenance Apprentice (2nd shift)

We are seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to join our Maintenance Team.  The successful candidate will be a team player who will be responsible for performing basic industrial duties under the direct supervision of the maintenance technician or maintenance supervisor.  Other responsibilities will include the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preventative maintenance on thermoforming equipment & vehicles (filters, grease, and cleaning).
  • Cleaning of grounds (inside/outside), along with snow removal.
  • Basic building maintenance such as changing light bulbs, painting, plumbing repairs.
  • Working knowledge with regards to hand tools.  Strong mechanical aptitude a plus.
  • Able to work overtime when needed due to snowstorms or to assist to get machinery back in service.

Additional duties will be added as they train further along.

This is a second shift position that would train on first shift. $12.00 base pay

General Building Maintenance

Keeps office, plant or similar building in clean and orderly condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  (other duties may be assigned)

  • Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities

Metal Fabricator

Accurately fabricate various items used in customer products and in-house to assist in production, storage and shipping of goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Measures, marks and scribes layouts using basic measuring tools (tape measure, caliper and micrometer)
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses and grinder
  • Strong quality focus with great attention to detail

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Forming Operator

Allied Plastics, currently has several positions for all 3 of our shifts for an experienced Forming Operator.

This position requires the following skills:

  • Ability to Read, Understand and Perform the duties on the Production Job Traveler to produce part for that particular job.

SUMMARY

SUMMARY

Secondary Finisher performs assembly of plastic OEM or Packaging parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be able to read and understand work instructions and PCS quality sheets.
  • Be competent and safe in using most common hand tools and select power tools.
  • Be able to understand entering counts and recording labor in Epicor.

Sheet Extrusion Inspector

This position offers a unique work schedule where you have a 3-day weekend every other week! It is a 12 hour shift from 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am with 2 Days On/2 Days Off and Every Other Weekend Off (Fri-Sun). We have 3 positions that need to be filled!

This position will assist the Extrusion Operator and Assistant Operator with set-up and running the plastic extrusion line. The candidate will need to understand and follow directions from a Job Traveler, maintain good packaging of sheet, identify defective product by performing quality inspections accurately, perform general preventative maintenance and grind scrap. No experience in extrusion? No problem! We are willing to train!

Wage Range: $11 to $15 (based on experience)

Sheet Extrusion Operator

SCHEDULE

CNC Operator

Operates CNC machine in order to trim plastic parts within specifications. Handwork, assemble and package parts. MUST comply with all safety rules and understand routes of exit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates CNC machine.
  • Performs all necessary quality checks to ensure parts are to specifications.
  • Performs Secondary operation set up according to Work Instructions.
  • Assemble products to quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work center per 5S standards; (Straighten Up, Sort, Sweep, Standardize, and Sustain).
  • Inspect part to Quality criteria and pre-approve first part approval.
  • Able to identify defective product in the forming process and follow QC procedure for Non-Conforming parts.

  • Able to direct temporary workers in their job functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Ensures materials are marked with proper identifying information prior to moving.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

Allied Plastics is a leader in Thermoforming manufacturing and we are looking to hire an experienced and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team! This position would verify, prepare and record information regarding outgoing shipments and transfers as well as other related duties.

HOURS: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM – Monday through Friday

PAY: $14.75 – $20.00 based on experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES – Shipping and Receiving Clerk

  • Ability to navigate and utilize Epicor system
  • Coordinates dock appointments with inbound carriers
  • Matches packers with purchase order paperwork
  • Operates Forklift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area
  • Unloads & check freight for correct quantities
  • Accurately receives product against purchase order paperwork into Epicor system
  • Creates and applies receiving product labels for materials received in to system
  • Allocates product/inventory to proper departments
  • Organizes product in order by date/lot #
  • Able to communicate with suppliers and Project Coordinators
  • Creates back haul paperwork for regrind
  • Loads regrind on trailers for back hauls
  • Priorities and rotates material to be dried in oven

Material Handler (2nd Shift)

Pay: Starting at $13/hr (Have experience? Hourly rate will be based on experience.)

Hours: 2nd Shift (3 pm to 1:30 am, Monday thru Friday)

Material Handler Yard Helper

Primary Duty is to help organize yard, bring material and packaging inside/outside and general “housekeeping” of the yard along with the following essential duties and responsibilities of a general material handler.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Ensures materials are marked with proper identifying information prior to moving.
  • Opens bales, crates and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

Hours: 1st Shift (7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday thru Friday)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training. Forklift certified.

Quality Assurance Inspector 1st Shift

Tests, inspects and measures product at various stages of production and compiles data to evaluate the level of quality and reliability to ensure product integrity. Using Engineering Drawings, Work Instructions, Process Control sheets and related Quality tools. (5-Why, DMAIC, Root-Cause Corrective Action and 8D process)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to interpret work instructions, process control sheets and engineering drawings for part qualification, including first piece approvals performed at machine and to
  • Perform random quality control inspection audits on work in progress and finished goods
  • Support production by performing sort/containment actions when quality related issues are detected
  • Use of various measurement equipment including: Standard and Metric tape measure, calipers, micrometers,ultra-sonic gauge, color spectrophotometer, etc.
  • Keep legible and organized records/documentation and inspection records
  • Ability to create basic reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong quality focus with great attention to detail
  • Internal Auditing Experience preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1 year Quality Experience or 5 years related Quality / Manufacturing experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review PPAP documentation prior to release to verify results
  • Facilitate corrective/preventative actions
  • Work with engineering teams on pre-production design and qualification methods
  • Assist in root cause investigation of non-conformities, including review and follow-up for completion
  • Work with customers to proactively correct issues relating to tooling, prints, and product
  • Assist suppliers in root cause investigation of non-conformities including review and follow-up for completion
  • Keep legible and organized records/documentation and inspection records
  • Ability to create basic reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong quality focus with great attention to detail
  • Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and 0-2 years related manufacturing experience.
